History

Southern Baptist Chruch

In 1801, southern Baptist church was constituted by William Hickman, a pioneer Baptist preacher, and his friend from Virginia, George Eve. The present church was built in 1870 in the community of Switzer with three additions being added to this building since that time. In 2012 a ministry center was built behind the church.

North Fork is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Kentucky Baptist Convention and the Franklin Baptist Association. It has been supportive of our Baptist colleges.

The North Fork Baptist Church has given sacrificially of its resources to serving our Lord during its rich history and looks forward to the future and its role in serving Him in our community, our state and our world.
